Ready to move your phone number(s) to DialLink? Follow the steps below to submit a porting request.
Start a porting request
Registration
Carefully read and accept the conditions provided to you. Make sure you have the necessary details on hand. For more information, see Preparing for number porting.
Click Next to start a porting request.
Basic information
Once you're ready to start the porting process, you'll need to provide some key details about yourself or your business. This information helps verify ownership and confirm your request matches your current carrier’s records.
Fill in the Port request name. This label will help you identify this request later.
Select whether the number is registered to an Individual or a Business.
Provide contact information, depending on the option selected previously:
For Individuals: first name and last name
For Businesses: first and last name of the authorized representative, a legal business name
Note. Make sure the business details match exactly what’s on your phone bill.
Specify the address. It must be the address where the phone service is officially registered. Use a physical address only.
Once ready, click Next.
Numbers to port
To authorize the transfer of your number(s), provide the following information exactly as it appears on your current provider’s records.
Account number
The account number assigned by your current phone service provider. This is used for verification during the porting process. You can usually find it on your billing statement or online account portal.
Account telephone number (also called the Billing telephone number (BTN)
The primary phone number associated with your account. Used to confirm that you're the authorized account holder.Landline or mobile number(s) you'd like to port
If you're porting a mobile number, you must provide a PIN or Last 4 Digits of SSN for each number. The PIN is a security code provided by your current carrier to protect your number. Contact your carrier for this information.
Once ready, click Next.
Note. Toll-free numbers are not supported for porting into DialLink at this time.
Upload phone bill
For DialLink to validate your request, you should upload a copy of your most recent phone bill. The bill must meet the following requirements:
Must be dated within the last 30 days.
Shows the account information, including the account number.
Includes the name of the account owner or authorized user.
Displays the service address, which must match the address you provided in the port request.
Note. Make sure the uploaded phone bill is clear and legible. If there’s any discrepancy or missing information, your port request may be delayed or rejected.
Once you have filled in all the required information and uploaded your phone bill, click Submit to send your port request.
