When no one answers a call, you can choose how to handle missed calls for the number. You have the following options:
Send the caller to voicemail.
Route the call to the AI assistant.
Set up missed call handling
Go to the Phone numbers section and select a number from the list.
Select the preferred option (Voicemail or AI assistant) in the Missed call handling section.
Follow the steps below to complete the settings.
Voicemail configuration
If you choose Voicemail, you must assign or upload an audio file that will play as the voicemail greeting before callers leave a message:
Click Change in the Voicemail audio section.
Select a track from the existing library, or upload your file. Play the selected audio after selection, if needed.
To speed up missed call processing, enable voicemail transcription. This feature converts voice messages into text, allowing users to review messages without listening to the audio.
To enable voicemail transcription, toggle on the Transcribe call recordings option.
AI assistant configuration
The AI assistant can handle missed calls by greeting callers, taking messages, and answering basic questions. When selecting this option, callers will hear an automated greeting before leaving a message or receiving a response. Use the AI greeting field to provide text to play for users.
