What is an auto-receptionist?

An auto-receptionist is an automated answering system that manages incoming calls and routes them based on predefined rules. It helps your team handle multiple calls at once, direct callers to the right person or department, and reduce the need for manual call handling.

You can customize greetings, set business hours, add an IVR menu, and define how calls should be routed when your team is available or offline.

Subscription plan availability: The auto-receptionist feature is available on all subscription plans.

How to create an auto-receptionist

  1. Open Settings > Auto-receptionists.

Desktop:

2. Click + Add new auto-receptionist.

3. Specify the name and click Save.

Mobile:

Save auto receptionist on the mobile

You’ll now see the auto-receptionist in your list and can proceed to configure greetings, call routing, and availability settings.
