DialLink supports both US and international phone numbers. However, every DialLink workspace must have at least one active US number.
A US number is required at the account level and acts as the foundation for core platform functionality. Once a US number is added, you can also add and use international numbers alongside it.
Why is a US number required?
DialLink currently relies on a US number for:
workspace activation and baseline telephony setup.
US carrier and compliance flows.
certain calling and messaging features, that are US-centric by design.
Because of this, a workspace without at least one US number is not supported.
Using international numbers
International phone numbers can be added only after at least one US number is present in the workspace. International numbers can be used for:
Receiving inbound calls in specific countries.
Making outbound calls to local destinations.
Assigning numbers to users, teams, or call flows (depending on configuration).
International numbers extend your workspace coverage, but they do not replace a US number.
Supported number combinations
A DialLink workspace can include:
One US number and multiple international numbers
Multiple US numbers and multiple international numbers
Note. A workspace cannot include only international numbers without a US number.
