Add new local and toll-free numbers (US & CA)

Learn how to add additional local and toll-free phone numbers to your DialLink account.

Default number

When you sign up for DialLink, you receive one free local phone number that you can start using immediately. This default number cannot be changed.

Each additional user added to the same account also receives one free local phone number.

Additional phone numbers

In addition to the included free number, each user can purchase additional phone numbers based on their needs.

The following types of phone numbers are available:

  • Local phone numbers

  • Toll-free phone numbers

Cost of additional phone numbers

Additional phone numbers are billed separately and charged on a monthly basis. Pricing depends on the number type:

  • Local phone number: $5 per number per month

  • Toll-free phone number: $7 per number per month

How to get additional phone numbers

The process for obtaining additional phone numbers depends on the number type.

How to get an additional local or toll-free phone number

You can add local or toll-free numbers directly from your workspace in just a few steps:

  1. Click the Settings icon.

2. Go to Phone system settings.

3. Select Phone numbers.

4. Click + Add new phone number.

5. Then choose Get new phone number and click Proceed.

6. Select the type of number you want to add: Local or Toll-free.

7. Use the search field to find a specific number, for example, one with a particular area code.

8. Click Add next to the desired phone number.

9. Each number is labelled with green icons indicating its capabilities, such as inbound and outbound calling, SMS, and multimedia messaging.

10. Click Add number to confirm.

11. Configure the service address by selecting an existing address or adding a new one, then click Add service address.

Once completed, the new number will be available in your workspace. Now you can manage the number, assign, and configure it.
