Important limitations when using desk phones with DialLink

Learn about feature limitations when using DialLink on desk phones.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

DialLink is designed for optimal call quality, full feature access, and ease of use through the web version and mobile and desktop applications. While desk phones are supported, certain features may be limited when using DialLink on a physical device. Any limitations are related to the hardware capabilities of the device itself and not to the DialLink platform.

Some functionality that may be restricted or unavailable on certain desk phones includes:

  • Adding additional participants to a live call (conference calling)

  • Accessing or managing voicemail messages directly from the device

  • Receiving visual notifications for new voicemail messages

  • For the full feature experience, we recommend using the web or mobile/desktop applications alongside your desk phone.

These limitations apply to both desk phones purchased from DialLink and user-owned desk phones.
