Can I use any desk phone with DialLink?
No, not all desk phones are compatible with DialLink.
We recommend purchasing desk phones directly from DialLink. These devices come pre-provisioned, allowing you to connect and use them with minimal setup. You can view the list of desk phone models available for purchase from DialLink in the related article.
Alternatively, customers subscribed to the Enterprise plan can register certain third-party desk phone models with DialLink. These devices are not sold by DialLink. While documentation is available, DialLink customer support will not provide assistance related to provisioning, setup, and configuration of user-owned desk phones.
DialLink cannot guarantee a fully seamless experience when using third-party devices.
Why do some features described in my desk phone’s manual not work after connecting it to DialLink?
DialLink uses a custom auto-provisioning system to configure supported desk phones. Because of this, certain device settings may be automatically overridden by the DialLink configuration server to ensure compatibility and proper integration with the platform.
In addition, not all features available on a specific desk phone model are supported within the DialLink environment. As a result, some functionality described in the manufacturer’s manual may not be available when the device is connected to DialLink.
After adding a desk phone to my DialLink account, can I make and receive calls on both the DialLink app and the desk phone?
Yes. You can make outgoing calls from both the DialLink app and the connected desk phone.
Incoming calls will ring simultaneously in the DialLink app, the web version, and on the desk phone, allowing you to answer from any of these devices.
Can I link more than one phone number to my desk phone?
Yes, you can assign multiple phone numbers to a single desk phone and receive incoming calls from all of them on that device.
