Getting around your Basic Business Line account

Learn which phone line settings you can adjust.

Welcome, we’re glad to have you as a DialLink customer!

Your business line is fully set up and ready to use, so no configuration is required. Simply plug your desk phone into power and connect it to the internet.

If you’d like to adjust any pre-set settings, you can do so in the DialLink Settings Console. This guide explains what you can change and how to do it.

What your basic business line includes

Your business phone line includes the following:

Desk phone purchased through DialLink

A desk phone is required to use your phone line. During subscription setup, you were asked to order a desk phone through a DialLink authorized partner.

Access to the DialLink Settings Console

To adjust your business phone line settings, you need to log in to the DialLink Settings Console.

When setting up your subscription through a DialLink authorized partner, you provided a valid email address to register your account. You should receive an email at this address with your login credentials for the DialLink Settings Console.

Note: If you scheduled your subscription to start at a future date, you will receive the login credentials email on the subscription start date.

Access the DialLink Settings Console and sign in using the credentials provided in the email.

How to set your password for the DialLink Settings Console

For security reasons, we recommend changing the default password provided in the email to your own.To update a password:

  1. Go to Account Settings

  2. Open the Security tab

4. Click Submit

How to find my phone number

To find your phone number:

  1. Go to the Phone system settings

  2. Open the General tab

Alternatively, you can view your number in the Phone Numbers tab in the same section.

How to update your voicemail greeting

You can update the greeting callers hear when they reach your voicemail.

You have three options:

  • Upload your own audio file

  • Record your own audio file

  • Create a greeting using built-in text-to-speech

How to set up call forwarding to another phone number

Enabling call forwarding is free of charge. However, forwarded calls are treated as outbound calls from your DialLink phone number to the destination number and are charged accordingly.

  • Calls forwarded to U.S. and Canadian numbers: These calls are included in all unlimited plans (subject to the Fair Usage Policy)*

  • Calls forwarded to international numbers: These calls are billed at standard international rates, are not included in your base subscription, and are charged separately as metered usage. To learn more, refer to the Top up your account balance article.

*Our Unlimited calling and messaging plans are subject to a Fair Usage Policy to ensure consistent service quality for all customers. These plans are designed for typical business use, and usage levels are monitored. Usage that significantly exceeds standard levels may be adjusted. Please refer to our Usage Policy for more details.

To forward all calls from your business phone line to another number:

  1. Go to Phone System Settings

  2. Open the Phone Numbers tab

4. Find the Call Forwarding option

5. Turn the toggle On

6. Enter the phone number where you want calls to be forwarded

How to block phone numbers

To block phone numbers, you don’t want to receive calls from:

  1. Go to Phone System Settings

  2. Open the Blocklist tab

3. Click the + button

4. Enter the phone number you want to block

5. Click Block to add it to your blocked list

How to change your payment method

To update your payment method to another card, bank account, or Google Play:

  1. Go to Company Settings

  2. Open the Billing tab

3. Scroll to Payment Method

4. Click Change

5. Follow the prompts to enter your new payment details

How to find your invoices

To find all your invoices:

  1. Go to Company Settings

  2. Open the Billing tab

3. Scroll down to the Invoices section

How to transfer your existing phone number from your current carrier to DialLink

If you already have a phone number and want to keep using it, you can transfer (port) it to DialLink.

How to update your profile information

To update your first name, last name, or email address:

  1. Go to Account Settings

  2. Open the Profile tab

3. Update the fields as needed

Note: Your login email is also used to receive voicemail recordings and transcriptions. If you update your email, it will be changed for both.

How to make international calls

To make international calls, you first need to enable international calling for your phone line.

To active international calling:

  1. Go to Phone System Settings

  2. Open the Phone Numbers tab

3. Select your phone line

4. Find the International Calling option

5. Turn the toggle On

After enabling international calling, you need to top up your account balance to be able to make calls.

How to add or update an email for voicemail audio and transcriptions

Note: By default, the email address you provided when purchasing your phone line is used to receive voicemail recordings and transcriptions. This is the same email used to sign in to the DialLink Settings Console.

To change the email address:

  1. Go to Account Settings

  2. Open the Profile tab

  3. Update the email address in the Email field

How to register a caller name for your outbound calls

Caller Name is the business name that can appear on a recipient’s device when you place an outbound call to a US phone number.

You can submit your company profile for Caller Name registration directly in the DialLink Settings Console.

You have three options:

  2. Open live chat in the DialLink Settings Console by clicking the Help icon next to your profile.
