Creating your voicemail greeting

A voicemail greeting is the message callers hear when their call is not answered.

You can customize your voicemail greeting to reflect your business and provide clear instructions to callers.

DialLink allows you to:

  • Upload an existing audio file

  • Record a new greeting using your microphone

  • Generate a greeting using text-to-speech

Upload a voicemail greeting audio

To upload you existing voicemail greeting:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Phone system settings

  3. Open the Audio library section

  4. Click on the + icon in the top right corner

  5. Select Upload

  6. Choose your file (max. file size is 4.5 MB. Supported formats: .mp3, .wav.)

  7. Click Save

Record a voicemail greeting audio

To record a new voicemail greeting:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Phone system settings

  3. Open the Audio library section

  4. Click on the + icon in the top right corner

  5. Select Record

  6. Enter a name

  7. Click Start button

  8. Say your greeting

  9. Click Save

Create a voicemail audio from a text

To create a new voicemail greeting from a text:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Phone system settings

  3. Open the Audio library section

  4. Click on the + icon in the top right corner

  5. Select Text to speech

  6. Enter a name

  7. Choose a voice

  8. Enter your voicemail script

  9. Click Generate to create the audio

  10. Review the audio and update the text if needed

  11. Click Save when ready

Once you create a voicemail greeting, it will appear in your Audio library, but it won’t be assigned to any phone number yet. To make it active, see the Set up your voicemail article.
