Before you start making and receiving calls, it’s important to configure your basic phone system settings.
Set up a company main line
You can assign one of your phone numbers as the main company line.
To find available phone numbers, refer to the Where can I check account phone numbers article.
To set up a phone number as a main line:
Go to Settings
Navigate to Phone System Settings
Open General
Select a phone number from the Main Line Phone Number dropdown
Use the main line as outbound caller ID
Once the main line is set, you can allow all users to use it as their outbound caller ID.
Go to Settings
Navigate to Phone System Settings
Open General
Turn on Allow main line number as outbound caller ID
Enable spam filtering for incoming calls
To automatically filter spam calls for all phone numbers:
Go to Settings
Navigate to Phone system settings
Open General
Scroll to Spam filtering
Turn on Enable spam filtering
Set up service address
A service address is used for emergency calls (e.g., 911). When a call is made, this address is shared with emergency services to help locate the caller.
Go to Settings
Navigate to Phone System Settings
Open General
Scroll to Service Addresses
Click Add Service Address
Enter the address details
Click Save
