How to purchase additional minute or message packages when reaching your usage limit

Learn how to purchase additional calling minutes or messages if you exceed your usage limits.

All DialLink plans include unlimited calls and messages within the US and Canada. However, usage is subject to our Fair Usage Policy to ensure consistent service quality for all customers. These plans are intended for typical business use, and activity levels are monitored accordingly.

Although Fair Usage limits are defined per user, they are applied at the account level by multiplying the limit by the total number of users. The resulting pool of minutes and messages is shared across all users in the account. I received an email saying I’m approaching my usage limit.

As you approach your usage limit, you will receive an email notification:

“Subject line: You're Approaching Your Usage Limit

Hi John,

This is a quick reminder that you’ve reached 90% of your usage limit under our Fair Usage Policy.

Once you reach 100%, your service may be limited, which could affect your ability to make and receive calls and send messages.

To avoid interruptions, you can purchase additional usage for the remainder of your billing period.

To purchase additional usage, go to Settings → Subscriptions in your DialLink account.

To continue making calls and sending messages without interruption, you need to purchase additional minutes or messages.

I received an email saying I’ve reached my usage limit

When you exceed your limit, you’ll receive the following notification:

“Subject line: You've Reached Your Usage Limit

Dear John,

You’ve reached 100% of your usage limit under our Fair Usage Policy.

At this point, your service may be limited, which could affect your ability to make and receive calls and send messages.

To avoid interruptions, we recommend purchasing additional usage for the remainder of your billing period.

You can purchase additional usage at any time in Settings → Subscriptions in your DialLink account.

How to purchase additional minutes or messages

You can purchase additional minutes and messages directly in the app.

  1. Open the Settings

2. Go to the Company Settings

3. Open the Subscriptions

4. Scroll to the Usage table

5. Find what you want to purchase:

  • Domestic call minutes

  • SMS messages

6. Click on the Add button next to your selection

7. Choose the package size

8. Click Add to proceed

9. Enter your payment details and click Pay

Once completed, the additional minutes or messages will be added to your account.
