Updated this week

If you have an existing phone number that you’d like to keep and use with your DialLink desk phones, you can transfer it to DialLink. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and successful porting process.

Step 1: Collect all required documents

To ensure your number porting request is processed without delays, it’s important to prepare all required information in advance.

Here is the full list of documents and details you need to have before starting the process:

  • Full name of the owner or authorized user of the number(s).

  • Service address, which must be a physical address (no PO boxes).

  • A recent phone bill, dated within the last 30 days, showing:

  • Account information.

  • Owner or authorized user’s name.

  • Service address.

Step 2: Understand potential fees

Porting your number may involve charges from both your current provider and DialLink:

You are responsible for any termination fees or additional charges your existing carrier may apply when you transfer your number to DialLink.

Add US &CA numbers to port

To authorize the transfer of your number(s), provide the following information exactly as it appears on your current provider’s records.

  1. Account number: The account number assigned by your current phone service provider. This is used for verification during the porting process. You can usually find it on your billing statement or online account portal.

2. Account telephone number (also called the Billing telephone number (BTN): The primary phone number associated with your account. Used to confirm that you're the authorized account holder.

3. Landline or mobile US & CA number(s) you'd like to port: If you're porting a mobile number, you must provide a PIN or Last 4 Digits of SSN for each number. The PIN is a security code provided by your current carrier to protect your number. Contact your carrier for this information.

  • Includes the name of the account owner or authorized user.

  • Displays the service address, which must match the address you provided in the port request.
